Monkey Gland Sauce has nothing to do with monkeys or glands. In conjunction with other unique exports to the world which includes the word ‘trek’ and braai, we have another uniquely South African product in the Monkey Gland. Many foods have misleading names that purport to indicate either their origin or ingredients, or both, while actually doing neither.

The Monkey Gland is especially a firm favourite with steak houses and on burgers.
